Day 1: Across the water
Calais to Dieppe: We’ll gather at our pre-arranged meeting point, or join us en route if preferred then our journey begins with a ferry crossing from Dover to Calais, after taking in the views and breakfast on the ferry we’ll enjoy a leisurely ride along the stunning Cote d’Opale coastline, pausing for a lunch by the sea. We’ll then make our way to Dieppe for our first overnight stay in a comfortable hotel on the outskirts of the town.
Day 2: From white Cliffs to Countryside
Dieppe to Caretan Les Marais: Leaving Dieppe behind, we’ll head South through the heart of the French countryside. Our route takes us across the majestic River Seine and through Regional Natural Parks known for their outstanding beauty. We’ll finish the day at our charming self-catering base in Caretan Les Marais, where we’ll settle in for our relaxing five-night stay.

DAY 3: A Journey into Airborne History
Sainte-Mère-Église: Day three takes us through more spectacular French countryside and winding roads to Sainte-Mère-Église. As the first town liberated by American paratroopers on D-Day, it holds a legendary place in history—immortalised in the classic film ‘The Longest Day’. We’ll have plenty of time to explore the town’s iconic square and historic church before enjoying a scenic ride to Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue via another key point in WWII history - Utah Beach.
DAY 4: The Cité de la Mer - a maritime hub
Cherbourg: Today is yours to enjoy at a slower pace, a short ride to Cherbourg, a town steeped in WWII history. We’ll be exploring The Cité de la Mer maritime museum, an unmissable site in Normandy dedicated to the adventure of man and the sea. This is where the Titanic came to a stop in the world's second-largest artificial harbour of Cherbourg, during its only continental stop before continuing onto Ireland. Today we will have plenty of time to walk around the maritime hub, take in the history and sample the local delicacies and fresh seafood.
DAY 5: Wonder of the West
Mont-Saint-Michel: Day five begins with a scenic ride through the heart of Normandy to the breathtaking Mont-Saint-Michel. We’ll spend the afternoon exploring this iconic UNESCO World Heritage site, wandering its medieval winding streets and its world-famous abbey. After soaking in the magic of the 'Wonder of the West,' we’ll enjoy a relaxing return journey to our base in Caretan Les Marais.
DAY 6: The Liberation Coast
Caretan Les Marais to Ouistreham: We’ll ride to the legendary Pegasus Bridge, stopping for coffee at Café Gondrée, the building was the site of first combat during the D-Day invasion. After our stop we’ll trace the historic coastline from East to West, riding the length of the D-Day Landing Beaches. We’ll pause at pivotal sites along the way, including the remains of the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches. Our journey concludes with a farewell dinner at a fantastic restaurant in Caretan Les Marais.
DAY 7: The road home
The Road Home: After leaving our accommodation, we’ll cross the countryside, riding East. Passing through spectacularly preserved, picturesque towns and villages. We’ll be catching the ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven. On disembarking the ferry we will ride together until you need to take your own route home to reflect on our trip, share your photos and stories, and of course, start planning your next MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE WITH AMT.

We’ve built this trip for maximum enjoyment. Each day is packed with planned stops for local food, photo ops at the best viewpoints, and regular "stretch-your-legs" breaks. We keep the pace easy and inclusive, ensuring everyone can soak in the incredible scenery without feeling rushed. It’s about the smiles, not just the miles!
This trip was designed for beginner to experienced riders. With many miles being on minor roads, suitable bikes and equipment are required for long-distance riding. There are no off-road sections during this tour.

Single/ Solo rider with private room - £1095pp
Single/ Solo rider in shared twin room - £795pp
Rider & Pillion sharing double room - £1195pp
Couples (Two Bikes) sharing double room - £1245pp
Prices include all ferry crossings, accommodation, tourist taxes and tour guide.
Prices do not include fuel, tolls, meals, any admission charges, breakdown cover or any fines personally incurred.
Towels and bed linen are included at accommodations.
Each trip will have a WHATSAPP group chat created for updates, contacts and a chance to get to know each other before the trip. Sharing trip photos etc.
Our usual pre-arranged meeting point is in Kent, UK. Tour participants are welcome to meet with the tour en route to the destination. This can be discussed on booking.
Spaces are limited; £200pp deposit secures your space on the tour.
